Position Summary


Works independently toward predetermined goals and objectives. Deliverables are reviewed upon completion for accuracy and adequacy in meeting objectives. Leads and is responsible for the development of EHS metrics. Leads the development, maintenance, and analysis of enterprise and EHS performance reports, including the development of scorecards, governance council performance reports, and external benchmarking of performance relative to utility and other competitors. Provides advice and assistance in interpreting data trends. Studies data and prepares analyses, summaries, and reports to present the findings. Advances efforts to create a standardized performance and analytics approach. Supports the policy, framework and governance activities in EHS. Advances automation and innovation in performance and analytics. Collaborates effectively with matrixed business unit performance and analytics teams. Listens carefully, validates expectations and demonstrates excellent communication skills in all forums – reports, presentation, meetings, email, etc.

Responsibilities


• Support and improve routine, standardized EHS reports for the enterprise, matrixed BUs, and governance councils.
• Analyze EHS data and metrics to identify performance trends, opportunity areas and assist in annual target development.
• Participate in external benchmarking to understand our competitive position relative to other utilities and competitors.
• Lead advanced analytics and automation initiatives with EHS performance data and trends.
• Strive to continually develop and improve job-related, technical knowledge and skill to ensure that department expectations are met.

Required/Basic Qualifications


• Bachelors degree in Information Technology
• 7 years related work experience
• In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 7 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 12 year(s) related work experience

Desired Qualifications


• Bachelors degree in Science or
• Masters degree in Science
• In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience

Additional Preferred QualificationsBroad knowledge of utility performance metrics, utility operations, and the utility business model.Demonstrated expert report management skills in multiple areas.Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite, database structures, and PowerBI data sets, workspaces and reports.Demonstrated ability to lead personnel from diverse groups working toward a complex goal or objective.Very strong collaboration, influencing, communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented focus.Demonstrated strong project management skills.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with top management.Demonstrated experience with metrics, business planning, and continuous improvement tools and practices.In-depth understanding of interdepartmental relationships.Track record of proactive approach to developing creative solutions to complex problems.Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing systems and processes that comply with health and safety, corporate policies, goals, and targets.
