We are on the lookout for a seasoned Sr. Data Analyst who will be responsible developing an understanding of the business and department processes to provide data analysis, highlight insights, and recommend solutions/improvements that enable the department to operate more efficiently and improve performance.
This opportunity requires the candidate be on-site in our Ft. Lauderdale office.
• Responsible for understanding source systems, data flows and their data models
• Responsible for analyzing data to validate business domains and requirements
• Close collaboration with Data Architect to design new data models and new views
• Develop source to target mappings for data lineage (STTM)
• Responsible for data profiling and ensuring data quality requirements are accurate and complete
• Validates that data integration, data movement, and warehouse meets requirements and service-level agreements
• Works with architects to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Act as the conduit between the business subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood
• Act in an advisory capacity in data model reviews, architecture approach and solution design to ensure solution meets business requirements
• Adheres to data governance strategy and guidelines
• Engages in test strategy and test plan development and the execution of use cases to validate data (e.g., create test data, identify existing data to use for testing, writing test scripts to validate data loads, conversions, views, opening defects, etc.)
• Responsible for communicating planned and unplanned activities to appropriate parties as needed
• 5+ years’ experience working as a data analyst leveraging BI and DB tools in a centralized data warehouse environment
• 5+ years hands-on experience working with SQL and a strong understanding of different data structures (flat files, relational, etc.)
• 4+ years’ experience with data modeling concepts and techniques
• Experience with DB Visualizer or similar DB Query tool is required
• Experience working with Cognos v.8.x or higher or similar BI tool is a plus
• Experience working with Power BI tool is a plus
• Experience working with Teradata Data Warehouse or other DBMS is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity
• Excellent written and oral communication, as well as, strong organizational and presentation skills
• High achievement orientation with a willingness to learn
• Exhibit a strong desire to understand the organization, its industry, and its strategies
• Possess a solid overall understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $68,700 - $190,100.
