This is a brand new project starting at our client in Atlanta, GA.
The project will be a national Data Analytics/Migration project for client’s retail stores and centers. The retail stores are on a single DataMart, while the centers have multiple DataMart’s and all of their systems are different than what the retail group uses. Part of this project is to align the score cards and systems for data flow into the new singular system. They will be pulling flat files from all of the systems, massaging the data, doing data analysis, running the data through the ETL and then uploading it into the new system. So there will be heavy data warehousing for this project. Their systems run mainly on SQL Server and Oracle.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an elite and fun Agile team developing world class Business Intelligence Dashboard and Employee Coaching and Onboarding web applications and for client’s Retail and Customer Care organizations.
We are seeking a strong data analyst who is used to working on a small team wearing many hats, where every person plays a critical role in the success of the team. This is an exciting and fun environment where a senior resource can shine, it is dynamic and very fast paced, and the Analyst plays a critical role interfacing with the customers and being the face of the application.
The candidate will be the sole resource for business analysis, testing and support for the application, and so needs to be able to hold their own from speaking with clients, to understanding the client needs and preparing test plans, to management and execution of application testing, training users and writing help documents and executive release summaries.
The testing involves 80% data analysis and 20% front end application testing on web and mobile devices. The position is also the only support resource for the application, so verbal and written communication skills need to be top notch.
This is a high profile team serving senior management building custom applications. Patience is a must.
The existing custom application has an robust architecture in Teradata/ SQL Server/ Java/ Javascript. The team will be adding new capabilities as the business needs change.
The successful candidate will have excellent data tracing and troubleshooting skills, excellent SQL skills, and be able to read and understand code at a high level to trace issues.
Requirements:
· 2+ years in a data warehouse environment doing data analysis.
· 5+ years of experience writing and executing SQL queries for back-end data testing (test will be administered).
· 2+ years’ experience conducting mobile testing on mobile devices and web.
· 5+ years of experience conducting integration, functional, system, regression, positive / negative, data-driven, UAT, load and stress testing.
· 5+ years of experience analyzing software requirement specifications and writing and executing test plans and test cases.
· 1 year + experience in end user support.
· Some end user training experience preferred.
· Ability to understand a data model.
· Ability to read and understand SQL code.
· Excellent spoken and written communications (provide examples).
