Sr. Data Analyst & Business Partner - Merchandising
Support the company’s goals by analyzing datasets to identify trends and anomalies to inform business decisions. Aid the merchandising team and other cross-functional units with statistical requests and/or dashboard development as needed by the business.

Data Strategy, Data Analysis and Interpretation

Analyze large datasets; identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to inform business decisions Develop hypothesis, track patterns, interpret data and communicate findings to help drive the commercial opportunities of the business

Reporting and Visualization

Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesSupport business with standardized reporting tools and access to key metrics within data sets on on-going basis

Collaboration and Communication

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis projects.  Be curious and interrogate the data to move ideas and agendas forward.   Take a leadership role in driving testing, on-going analysis and projects

Technical Expertise and Data Integrity

Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with data privacy regulationsApply advanced analytics, including machine learning, to derive insights and solve business problems  Operate in several different systems to extract and link data sets across the organization, as well as operate analytical tools or platforms that will aid in collecting and analyzing data for the teamDemonstrate continuous learning and familiarity with emerging AI technologies and tools. 

Project Management

Work closely with the Merchandising group to drive performance improvements in line productivity with regards to both line development and line productivity in commercial channels  Access and incorporate financial benchmarks and KPI’s into the data fields and interpretationWork with customer data from both internal and external sources to inform the line planning process Create visibility to data and findings for business leaders through dashboards, data collection systems and toolsManage data analysis projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals

Problem-Solving & Business Acumen

Identify and solve complex data-related problems, suggesting innovative solutions and optimizationsUnderstand how data analysis aligns with the company's business strategies and objectives.  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, mathematics, business, merchandising or related field or equivalent experience.  Master’s degree preferred.5+ years’ experience in statistics, data mining, project assistance or direct marketing assistance 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Base Pay Range:

$77,500.00 - $116,300.00

Vera Bradley’s compensation ranges are based on market data and comply with all local, state and federal regulations. Individual pay within the listed range depends on work location, skills, experience, and relevant education. The posted salary reflects base pay only and excludes bonuses, equity, or other incentives, if applicable.
