Job Description

Sphera is looking for a Software Engineer to join our SpheraCloud engineering team. Our software helps companies achieve their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals.  Come work on a team that utilizes the best technologies to deliver great new features to a quickly growing SaaS product.   

Responsibilities 

Scrum/Agile based development of a SaaS Application Technical Design/Build/Unit Testing of new features Analysis and Refactoring of existing source code Analyze requirements, suggest concepts, and assess development effortsEstablish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert Mentor other engineers

Required Skills 

1-3 years experience building applications on cloud platformsExpertise with functional programming in ScalaExperience with analytics/Big Data solutions (ie. Hadoop, Akka)Experience with database design and optimizationExperience with current trends in software developmentExperience with Software Design Patterns and Best Practices

Skills Considered a Plus 

Experience with containerization Experience optimizing applications for performance SaaS Product Development experience Scrum/Agile experience
