Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Data Migration Specialist in Tampa, Florida. This role is in the industry of data migration and requires a specialist to oversee complex migration tasks and ensure data integrity and quality. Your workplace will be in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will interact with various technical teams and handle intricate data conversions. Responsibilities: • Lead the entire data migration process, ensuring the integrity and quality of data are maintained throughout. • Collaborate with various technical teams to establish and manage Microsoft Fabric. • Oversee the configuration and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring efficient operation. • Conduct SQL script conversions and manage data transformations, ensuring data is accurately converted and transformed. • Utilize Azure Data Factory to automate data workflows and migrations, ensuring efficient and seamless data migration. • Handle complex migration tasks involving Tier 2 level data. • Implement data visualization techniques using tools such as Microsoft Power BI. • Use cloud technologies like AWS Technologies to manage and store data. • Leverage Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark for real-time data processing and analysis. • Ensure the proper use of Data Migration skills throughout the process. Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark. • Demonstrated expertise in Cloud Technologies. • Familiarity with Data Visualization techniques. • Experience with AWS Technologies. • Proficiency in using Microsoft SQL Server. • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and Power BI tools. • Experience with Azure Data Factory is preferred. • Proven track record in Data Migration projects. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Familiarity with data management principles and best practices. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
