Sr. Data Modeler

The Senior Data Modeler designs, implements, documents data architecture, and data modeling solutions. These solutions support global enterprise information management, business intelligence, machine learning, data science, and other business interests. Models developed should reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management. The Senior Data Modeler also performs various data science responsibilities as requested by the organization.

 

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Development of conceptual, logical and physical data models (often large and complex) across multiple platforms and data tools (reporting, visualization, analytics and machine learning)Organize raw data to make it easier to understand and process for further analytics andincluding data cleansing and ongoing QA managementAble to grasp new and existing data sets quickly, anticipate how the data set would be used by the organization, but also work with business partners to translate requirements into actionsOptimize data query performance via best practicesWork with the Data Engineering team to ingest data sourcesDevelop advanced dashboards as needed to support the global business as well as train and support business users to develop dashboards and become self-sufficientDevelop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within modelsImplement strategies for developing modelsLeverage machine learning tools to find patterns, features and classifiers within large DatasetsDevelop prediction algorithms or consult with 3rd party developers on a case-by-case basis


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

Minimum 6 years of data science or data modeling experience; experience with restaurant data preferredExperience with sales, customer, financial, and/or manufacturing required Experience or degree in computer science, data science, information technology or data modelingStrong hands-on knowledge of modern data and reporting platforms including SQL, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Power BI, OAC, etc.Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team
