Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing
The Sr. Data Science Engineer will be designing, building, and deploying machine learning models, creating scalable data pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges.
ResponsibilitiesYour Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Designs, builds and maintains resilient data applications in Python and NodeJSManages and optimizes the deployment of containers in Kubernetes on AzureDevelops monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics systems, including Datadog alerts, events, and log monitoring, to ensure high-quality product deliveryMaintains and improves existing Datadog logs, events, and alerts to enhance monitoring and diagnostics capabilitiesCollaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to identify the needs of a cross-functional team and develop data-driven solutionsSolves challenging data integration problems utilizing optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, and sourcing from structured and unstructured data sourcesOptimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts Keep up to date with the latest Azure and Kubernetes features and best practices, and adopt them to optimize DSE software systemsPerform other duties as assigned QualificationsWhat You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements
We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related fieldMinimum five years of experience in developing scalable, resilient, data-intensive applications or a related roleExtensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platform KubernetesAbility to design, implement and maintain cloud-based architectures using Kubernetes on AzureStrong programming experience in production environments using Python, SQLThe Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $115,000 - $227,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
