Sr. Database Engineer Location: Chantilly, VA, US Job ID: 16469 Job Description Job Description: Title: Sr. Database Engineer Location: On site in Chantilly, VA Citizenship/Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an ActiveTS/SCI w/ CI Poly clearance required.This position supports a government contract. What you will be working on: As the Microsoft SQL Engineer, you will: -Engineer, document, deliver, and maintain Microsoft SQL versions from 2005 through 2017 according to specifications and security guidelines. -Diagnose and resolve complex performance, security, and technical issues. -Participate in all phases of ITIL Service Lifecycle, including Change Requests and Incident ticket resolution. -Design and integrate SQL instances in both virtualized and physical environments. -Implement fault-tolerant database solutions and disaster recovery strategies. -Ensure database configurations comply with DISA STIGs. -Support applications reliant on SQL databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting. Requirements: -Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance. -Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of related experience, including 3-5 years in SQL administration and design. -CompTIA Security+CE or similar certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance. -MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent SQL Server certification. -Proficiency in Microsoft Windows systems, including DNS, Group Policy, and PKI. Desired: -Experience with MySQL. -Advanced knowledge in designing database solutions for scalability and high availability.
