Sr. Demand Planner, Amazon Fresh
Description The Amazon Fresh Grocery team is looking for a highly skilled Senior Demand Planner to join our expanding team. The Senior Demand Planner will own medium-long term demand planning programs for our US business. They will be responsible for identifying, building out requirements, analysing, and launching programs, ensuring we have the highest quality forecasts for selection we sell instores and online. This requires someone with both excellent quantitative skills as well as the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders. You should feel comfortable using data to build scalable systems and processes that allow our business to grow. Your expertise will drive innovation, efficiency, and lasting impact. The successful candidate will have a passion for analytics, thought leadership, tactical process development, and a willingness to move fast and experiment often. You should feel comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to be thoughtful in your pursuit of results and thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel. Key job responsibilities • Analyze forecast variance, dive deep to understand root cause, create bridges for forecast variance and present in business reviews. • Support Amazon Fresh strategic planning discussions. • Write documents and updates that communicate insights in a digestible manner to senior leaders. • Collaborate with Vendors, Category Teams, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams, to establish a consolidated demand plan that meets topline goals. • Inspect demand forecasts critically and challenge assumptions from business teams. • Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of with Excel experience - Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience - Experience working with complex data sets - Experience communicating results to senior leadership - Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques - Experience with SQL Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
