Position Summary

This position will serve as our technical expert for our Electro-Mechanical Actuation product that is being developed.  The Electro-Mechanical actuator is a key component used in electrically powered aircraft.  This position will collaborate directly with customers, and cross-functionally with our internal sales, marketing, design, and operations teams.   

Key Accountabilities

Serve as technical expert and lead technical discussions with customers on application of Rexnord Aerospace products to provide/improve customer satisfaction with a focus on supporting the Electric Aircraft Market.Collaborate with the Marketing Team, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing and Operations to ensure we deliver a successful project, on time, at acceptable revenues, with zero quality defectsManage projects tightly to detailed master program schedules and milestones.  Coordinate schedule compliance for all deliverables.  Manage impact of material and delivery schedules to the operational aspects of the businessMaintain ownership of numerous new product introductions, development activities and Engineering projects across all functional linesAssist in Identifying & driving continuous improvement opportunities within the facilities and at our supplier’s locations.Contribute to the breakthrough product development processMaintain and improve existing productsCreate and maintain policies, procedures, engineering standards, programs, and work instructions

Capabilities and Success Factors

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline7 + years of Engineering Work ExperienceAdvanced knowledge in the application, design and theory of operations for electro-mechanical actuatorsBackground in metal manufacturing environment including metal cutting and grindingWorking knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO, and/or CATIAAdvanced knowledge of engineering part drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingGeneral working knowledge of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) toolsKnowledge of Stage Gate ProcessExperience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment is requiredExperience in root cause analysis and formal problem-solving techniques Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management Strong customer service orientation/ High level of interpersonal skills  Capable of occasional travel to customers and plants
