Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized professional recruiting firm, is assisting our global manufacturing client in their search for a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer.  This Design Engineer will take ownership of the product and assist with critical decisions.

Responsibilities: Perform analysis, design, development, test, installation, and service while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, Bill of Material, etc. Prepare specifications and related documents according to requirements, established formats, and general instructions. Review and analyze various engineering data, documents, and reports. Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application and recommend revisions. Investigate technical problems and establish procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences. Concentration of activities: 40% to customer focus and commercial orders, 30% to product care, and 30% to operational troubleshooting and field support. Using state-of-the-art CAD, develop 2-D and 3-D models of components and assemblies for prototype, production, and retrofit builds as required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product design and performance. Ability to learn basic numerical tolerance calculations and stack-up analysis.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 5+ years' of experience 2D AutoCAD proficiency is required Prior manufacturing experience and basic electrical knowledge Tolerance stack-up analysis Working experience with Pro-E or any 3D CAD modeling software is desired. Some experience developing electromechanical products  Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for our client in the United States.
