Sr. Design Program Manager - Gift Cards, Amazon
Description Amazon Gift Cards is seeking a Sr. Design Program Manager to drive marketing and business design strategy and creative operations at a global scale. This role is the connective tissue between creative teams, marketing stakeholders, and business partners, ensuring seamless execution of design initiatives that elevate the customer experience. As the Sr. DPM, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of worldwide Gift Card marketing visuals, overseeing high-impact campaigns, user testing roadmaps, and cross-functional design programs. You will own and evolve the design team’s process strategy, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals. This includes managing High Velocity Event (HVE) campaigns, driving user testing insights, and leading cross-functional collaboration with XCM teams, business partners, and external agencies. With deep expertise in marketing design, brand strategy, and program management, you will develop and implement end-to-end methodologies that streamline creative workflows, uphold brand standards, and drive adoption of best practices. You will navigate complex stakeholder relationships, establish clear communication frameworks, and proactively solve challenges to keep projects on track. A strategic leader, you will own the lifecycle of design marketing initiatives. Including overseeing annual planning, intake, scoping, budget forecasting, and execution. As the primary POC for marketing design and message testing, you will leverage customer insights to inform creative direction and optimize campaign impact. You will identify inefficiencies, remove bottlenecks, and anticipate blockers, ensuring smooth execution of brand design initiatives. You will manage escalations effectively, balance trade-offs, and uphold creative excellence while aligning with business priorities. This role requires a proactive, solutions-driven leader with a proven ability to execute complex global marketing programs, drive strategic alignment, and enhance the creative impact of Amazon Gift Cards. Key job responsibilities • Oversee the execution of high-impact marketing design initiatives for Amazon Gift Cards and Incentives, driving visual strategy and creative excellence at scale. • Manage the full lifecycle of global marketing campaigns, planning, intake, resource allocation, execution, and optimization, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals. • Strong partnership with marketing, UX, VX, XCM, and business teams to define project scopes, streamline workflows, and ensure strategic alignment across multiple stakeholders. • Own and evolve marketing design and message testing roadmaps, testing visual treatments, leveraging insights to refine creative strategies and maximize customer engagement. • Design and implement scalable processes that optimize creative pipelines, balancing cross-team needs while increasing operational efficiency and impact. • Oversee external design agency partnerships, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization while maintaining high-quality deliverables. • Establish and maintain strong partnerships across internal and external global teams, fostering alignment, transparency, and seamless execution. • Invent and simplify marketing design workflows, implementing best practices to enhance studio production, increase speed to market, and elevate brand consistency. • Supporting scaling design pipelines in Figma & ASANA (or other program management tools) • Supporting photography strategy and workflows Basic Qualifications - 6+ years of design experience - Have an available online portfolio - Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions - Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall) - Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
