THE OPPORTUNITY As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Xactly Corporation, you’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging Cloud Infrastructure projects. You’ll need to have a passion for wanting to take a software-based approach to solving infrastructure challenges and automate those solutions in this role. A strong understanding of Linux, writing scripts/code in at least two languages, public clouds, troubleshooting are key for success in this role. And finally, you should have a strong background in implementing production SaaS environments and be comfortable and able to scope, plan and define architecture design requirements, driving implementation, performance tuning, maintenance, and security. THE TEAM Xactly’s Infrastructure Operations team is a rapidly growing & diversified team with a focus on working with cutting-edge tools & technologies. We are a strong team of 30+ members spread across our engineering centers in San Jose, Denver, Toronto, and Bangalore. All members of the team are encouraged to operate independently and with highest levels of accountability, while also being willing to work collaboratively in training, learning, and developing of new skills. The Cloud Infrastructure team provides 24x7x365 system availability, conducting regular maintenance, release and upkeep for the infrastructure and service. Project based work which has companywide visibility and positive impact on the business is also a big part of the work that Cloud Infrastructure tackles. THE SKILL SET 5 to 7yrs years of relevant experience Demonstrated experience working with Terraform, Helm, and Container Registry for 4+ years. Experience operating and maintaining Kubernetes environments for 3+ years. Linux system administration skills, 3-5 years operations experience Extensive experience in architecting, implementing, and supporting solutions on cloudproviders. Nice to have: Strong coding skills in in at least one of the following - Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java Experience with cloud computing toolsets like - Terraform, Packer, etc. Experience with configuration management tools - Chef, Puppet, etc. Experience and knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing Is detail oriented, can build reliable and scalable solutions. Can debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. You’re self-driven, motivated, with a strong work ethic and passion for problem solving and are comfortable with context switching. Excellent oral and written communication skills WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow. Build relationships with development teams and understand their processes. Gain a strong understanding of Sales Performance Management space and the business challenges Xactly solves. WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL Have a strong understanding of the business and begin teaching us a thing or two we don’t know. Have a thorough understanding of the technologies used by the teams you interact with and be able to suggest improvements and modifications. WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL Be able to work independently and help increase the velocity of development teams.
