Sr. Diesel Technician

We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **THE ROLE:** The Service Shop Diesel Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, servicing, and repairing pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in the shop or at a customer job site. Xylem will provide paid training for CDL upgrades (if applicable). **DAY IN THE LIFE** **:** In this role, the working environment is in shop and the physical demands may include but not limited to prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 lbs, etc. Technician will be focused on repairing existing rental equipment to like new standards, including pump, diesel engine, skid/trailer and possible enclosures. Engine diagnostic skills and after-treatment system knowledge is a must for this position. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. + Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental. + Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends. + Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose and report damages to Service Manager. + Utilize manufacturer software to diagnose and repair Tier 4 engines + Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems, and pump problems. + Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology. + Perform related duties as assigned. + Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities **QUALIFICATIONS:** + 5-8 years of diesel experience and/or training or combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. + Knowledge of Tier 4 engines and tier 4 engine repairs + General diesel engine component location and identification + Safety practices and procedures + Advanced mechanical aptitude **What We Offer:** + Health, Dental and Vision insurance available on your 1st day of employment + Generous retirement savings plan + Generous PTO package and paid holidays + Career progression and development plans + Company wellness, rewards and recognition, and employee discount programs **Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range.
