Sr. Digital Product Manager

We have an opportunity for a Senior Digital Product Manager to join our Apex, NC team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver feature enhancements and improvements, accelerate app adoption, improve app ratings, and ensure alignment with Pentair’s strategic objectives for connected products and automation portfolio.

You will:

Lead Strategic Initiatives Across B2B and B2C Experiences: Drive the development and implementation of digital product strategies that cater to Pentair Pool Partners (dealers and servicers) and poolowners, ensuring both professional and consumer needs are met.Expand the Pentair IoT and Automation Ecosystem: Guide the evolution of digital products that span the entire Pentair IoT portfolio, enhancing the connected automation experience.Strategic Product Roadmap Ownership: Develop, communicate, and execute a digital product roadmap that reflects Pentair’s long-term goals, ensuring a seamless integration of innovative features and user-focused enhancements.Champion and Operationalize Voice of Customer (VoC): Build strong relationships with external customers, dealers, servicers, and stakeholders in sales to deeply understand their needs and challenges. Use these insights to shape user-centric features, fostering trust and alignment across all touchpoints.Transform Partner Experiences: Lead efforts to design and deliver innovative, seamless digital experiences that empower Pentair Pool Partners to operate more efficiently and effectively, ultimately positioning them as heroes to the poolowner.Drive App Adoption and Engagement: Lead initiatives to increase adoption of digital products across all user segments, focusing on metrics such as downloads, active usage, ratings, and reviews to accelerate the penetration of connected products.Strategic Product Enhancement Identification: Use market insights, VoC feedback, and stakeholder collaboration to score and prioritize high-impact features that advance Pentair Pool’s competitive position in connected automation.Collaborate Across Portfolios: Work closely with product managers across Pentair Pool’s portfolio to align app and feature development with overall business objectives and ensure consistency in user experience across the IoT ecosystem.Lead Agile Development Practices: Act as the voice of the customer in agile ceremonies, define and prioritize requirements, and manage the execution of sprints to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.Foster Innovation and Efficiency: Promote an environment of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to adopt new technologies and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and scalability of digital products.

Key Qualifications: 

Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong background in digital and connected products for both B2B and B2C audiences at scale.Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead initiatives that impact complex product portfolios. Experience in IoT ecosystems and connected automation preferred.User Empathy: Exceptional ability to listen, understand, and interpret user feedback, seeing beyond emotions to uncover underlying needs and deliver impactful solutions.Technical Acumen: Familiarity with IoT platforms, connected automation, integration of hardware with digital products, mobile app architecture and API integrations.Agile Expertise: Understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience managing agile development processes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with engineering, UX, marketing, sales, legal, and customer success teams to deliver high-impact products.Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees (MBA or technical focus) are a plus.Travel: Ability to travel up to 30%, including international trips.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $95,500-$177,300 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
