Sr. Director, Head of Treasury

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the treasury function for ~$2.3B revenue public company, overseeing all aspects of Treasury, including capital markets, funding, cash management, liquidity, capital structure management, and banking operations Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing Manage rating agency relationship in conjunction with CAO & CFO Support the CFO and other senior executives in all treasury assignments, including financings Advise on funding structures for all new M&A related international financing needs, and coordinate with accounting, corporate finance, and tax functions to ensure compliance with regulations Manage a multi-billion dollar intercompany financing portfolio, including loans and in-house factoring program, in partnership with the Tax team and other relevant stakeholders Drive process improvements through simplification, standardization, and automation, including continued refinement and enhancement of recently implemented Treasury Management System Conduct financial analysis in areas such as forecasting, budgeting, cost reduction, and operational performance as needed Assist operating companies in managing F/X risk Maintain and update treasury and financing related approval guidelines, policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with internal controls Monitor and communicate an ongoing understanding of the changing economic, legal, regulatory, and competitive environments across all areas of corporate finance, treasury, and payments Develop and mentor staff members to build a best-in-class team through orientation, training, goal setting, constructive feedback, and open communication Strengthen bank relationships and manage other external partners, such as accounting, integration, legal counsel, payments, tax, and advisors Prepare presentations and reports for executive management and Board Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, including working with internal and external auditors, and propose and facilitate updates to the company’s investment, banking, borrowing, and hedging policies as needed for changes in business or market conditions
 

Desired qualifications and attributes:

15+ years of diversified international treasury experience with large public companies or consulting firms Experience in capital markets, bank financings, and rating agency relationship is big plus Bachelor’s degree in Finance or quantitative discipline is mandatory. An MBA or Master’s degree in finance is highly preferred Ability to be hands-on and roll up your sleeves in a very lean staffing environment Ability to work with a sense of urgency and with imperfect information Strong skills at continuous improvement Strong teamwork skills and comfort with executing as part of cross-functional teams Outstanding communication skills and ability to simplify and explain complex treasury topics in an understandable way Growth mindset and openness to learning Problem solving and creativity Experience in implementation of Treasury Management System is a strong plus Basic knowledge of international finance-related tax concepts is a strong plus Basic knowledge of US financial reporting requirements is a strong plus
