Summary

The Sr. Director, Program Management and Transformation will partner with the various business functions across AV in development and execution of organizational optimization initiatives through use of analytics, technology, and optimization opportunities.

The role is responsible for development of a pipeline of optimization opportunities with measurable return of investment outcomes. Working with senior executives the pipeline is continually prioritized and executed to completion with the position accountable for managing the effort with internal and external organizations/resources.

Three key areas of accountability are: Identification of optimization opportunities, gaining leadership sponsorship and driving adoption through change management practices, and executing transformation initiatives through completion and operationalization.

The expectation for this role is to operate both as a strategic business leader and a technologist with a vision of leveraging technology in driving organizational process improvements and optimization.

Position Responsibilities

Translate leadership strategic objectives and vision into a series of actionable program roadmaps to be prioritized on an ongoing basis for execution through completion.

Evaluate and plan strategic business objectives into a series of roadmaps

In partnership with business, develop the business process architecture and identify opportunities to transform operations through job-reengineering, process optimization, and technology

Development and rollout of change management methodology aligned to organizational readiness

Educate and improve organizational awareness about change management practice

Development and execution of change management on critical initiatives

Integrate change communication and training to drive realization of full business value as planned

Measurement and reporting on change management efforts and impacts

Define and Establish the PMO organization structure, hiring and managing staffing requirements in line with project objectives.

Lead and direct project managers and their teams, overseeing their project execution ensuring overall program deliverables are met per cost, schedule and scope commitments, proactively handling escalations as necessary to ensure program goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives

Build key stakeholder partnerships through monthly executive portfolio reviews, enabling better prioritization and visibility by maintaining regular interactions with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome. This includes providing regular status reports in various formats and forums ensuring full transparency of program status and health

Drive adoption of project mgt systems, and tools for real-time portfolio dashboarding

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key IT vendors, including software, hardware, and service providers

Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable IT product and service terms and conditions.

Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.

Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Establish performance metrics and KPIs to monitor vendor performance.

Ensure vendors comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Develop a budgetary assessment of overall vendor costs by category to review drivers, cost savings, and streamlining opportunities.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Master’s degree preferred

15+ years of IT experience, including demonstrated success working as a member of a team in a high-growth organizations

7+ years of experience in a leadership role.

10+ years’ experience and proven track record in Business Transformation

10+ years’ experience working with Information and Systems, primarily Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, Workday or any large enterprise systems, and overseeing, project management, change management, and right sourcing organizations.

Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Reporting

Business management experience leading transformation and optimization efforts across large organizations

Experience in business process architectures and developing respective roadmaps

Prior experience leading organizational transformations and designing modern business process capabilities

Advanced program management skills in complex IT and business environments, including ability to coordinate multiple teams in various locations and time zones. Deep project management experience managing large-scale, global implementations. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.)

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Experience in Aerospace and Defense industries is a plus

Excellent leadership abilities and management skills with a proven record of strategic planning, productivity, and process improvement, change management, and budget and resource management

Excellent relationship-building, communication skills, and negotiation skills. The ability to get things done via influence vs. authority is paramount

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Self-starter attitude and track record seamlessly executing quickly on complex projects with minimal guidance

Experience with Agile and LEAN in an Information Technology environment

Team player with a passion for building relationships and providing exceptional service

Champions the process of change and promotes a culture of quick adaptation while helping others deal with the effects of change

Physical Demands

Ability to work global and cross cultural, Occasional travel may be required

Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Constant).

Special Requirements

U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) required, per ITAR definition

Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S or international.

The salary range for this role is:

$176,000 - $249,480
