Job DescriptionRole Purpose
Syndication Studios is responsible for the production, sales, and distribution of NBCUniversal products to broadcast television within the United States. The division develops and produces first-run programming and distributes these shows, along with off-network content, in broadcast television as well as digital and streaming platforms. This role will report directly to the VP, Programming and Development. This role will serve as a programming & development executive in the production, postproduction and delivery of original programming and related creative elements for First Run/Syndication programming. This role will also be responsible for generating and overseeing the development of projects in this space.
Responsibilities
Supervise the production acting as the programming & development executive and provide creative feedback/notes on production format, rundowns, casting, outlines, set design, graphics, music, and story plan.Oversee development from start to finish of new television projects, including step deals, pilots, presentations, and direct-to-series, first season orders.Attend shoots as needed in the studio and on location.Manage on-camera talent where necessary on selected shows.Manage and communicate the flow of information, materials, dates, schedules, etc. and facilitate necessary approvals and information across various departments.Liaise with sales team to provide integration ideas and supervise integration execution on set.Problem-solve shows issues with producers, production companies, and stakeholders.Work in close partnership with internal stakeholders, including, marketing, digital, social, PR, etc., and evaluate creative materials emanating from these divisions.Interface with creative executives, agents, producers and talent on a regular basis.Liaise with HR regarding employee issues.QualificationsBasic Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in development and physical production at a production company or at a networkWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookMust be willing to work in Los Angeles, CAMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekendsDesired Characteristics
Knowledge of all aspects of contemporary TV production and post-production including digital and social media.Proficiency in TV production of competition shows.Outstanding editorial judgment and creative abilities, with emphasis on story development, series production, and strong post-production skills.Strong relationships with the agents, talent managers, TV, and Digital production community.Strong relationships with independent producers and showrunners.Comfortable communicating with on-camera talent.Strong verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated leadership skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and high-energy environment.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Additional Requirements

Salary range: $155,000-$170,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
