KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
• Recruit and build world class engineering organization in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and 
train the team to enhance engineering discipline.
• Lead NPI execution and design win support to key customer with risk up front method.
• Ensure product quality is part of the design phase with DFx and FMEA.
• Execute product design cost reduction.
• Support and sustain released product portfolio, and work with operation team to build 
the sustaining engineering support in Lumentum Thailand factory in the next two years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
• Applicants should have a significant amount of leadership experience, technical 
expertise, and a proven track record in research and development, product 
management, and strategic leadership in a global environment.
• Proven track record of successfully launching new technologies and products to gain a 
competitive edge in the market.
• Experience in optimizing product design and associated high volume manufacturing 
processes to achieve cost reduction goals while maintaining quality and performance.
• Experience in working closely with customers and partners to understand their needs, 
provide solutions, and secure design wins.
• Understanding of supply chain dynamics, operations, and manufacturing processes to 
ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Ability to foster a culture of engineering principle and innovation within the R&D and 
product development teams, encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and risktaking.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
• A Master's or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Photonics,
Optical Engineering, Physics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline is required.
• Requires at least 10-15 years of relevant experience, including:
o Extensive experience in managing research and development teams, NPI
execution, and product design processes.
o Release high volume product into the market with proven record.
o A history of driving product quality, cost reduction, and design-win support in a
technical or product leadership role.
o Demonstrated success in leading innovation and technology development
initiatives.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams and stakeholders at all levels of including
executives, technical experts, and cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with risk up front, Agile program management style with proven record.
