Program Description: The Senior Director of Staffed Housing is responsible and highly accountable for oversight of residential, secure, Adult Mental Health Initiative (AMHI), and Enhanced Care facilities. This includes coordinating with other members of Cascadia Senior Leadership to ensure that the clinical model design and implementation adhere to Cascadia’s mission and strategic plan and are in compliance with OARs, payer requirements, and HR law and protocol. Position responsibilities include continual consideration of business development opportunities; fiscal viability of each program; stellar public relations; trauma informed operational oversight; and continuous quality improvement. The Senior Director is also responsible for input into development and implementation of Cascadia’s strategic planning and goals.

Determine overall structure and operational processes of the division to implement the goals and objectives at an agency wide level, as determined in conjunction with the Executive Team.Ensure clinical effectiveness is reached through the use of best practices. Research and approve appropriate evidence based practices within the program area.Assume responsibility and maintain accountability for documentation compliance, financial performance, and productivity/revenue generation.Develop policies, procedures and systems that ensure clinical excellence, documentation and contract compliance, as well as employee productivity/revenue.Implement hiring, supervision, and training practices that encourage and maintain diversity and cultural competence of staff.Provide leadership in ensuring all Human Resources and Quality Management directives are followed.Monitor expenses and revenue through communication with program managers and supervisors.Identify and oversee quality improvement activities routinely within programs, and across program lines as determined by clinical leadershipServe as the primary spokesperson for covered programs; develop and maintain positive intra-agency and community relationships. Respond to requests to publicly promote the programs across sites. Responsible for building coalitions and collaborations within the agency and in the community.Provide leadership to managers, supervisors, and direct service staff including team-building, performance motivation, and good morale.Support the overall goals of Cascadia in internal and external communications.Review and approve responses by direct reports to requests for proposals, requests for new services and other growth opportunities, as well as develop and seek out opportunities to promote Cascadia’s services.Represent programs on advisory boards, internal committees, and at community events.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Education:
The incumbent must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university or three years of full time professional experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This position must demonstrate the competencies to become credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), as outlined in OAR 309-016-0005.A Master’s Degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university is preferred.Experience:
Four years of supervisory/management and business experience.Five to eight years of experience with and superior knowledge of the types of residential services and the relevant systems, including integrated mental health and addictions services.Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working Conditions
Work involves travel within the state. May be frequently off site, in the community, or at various agency sites.
Mental Demands: The Senior Director must be able to handle a variable work flow, manage time effectively, prioritize activities, and help managers and supervisors with all aspects of day to day functions of clinical programs.
