Summary: 

Cboe Clear Europe is actively seeking a highly motivated person to fill the role of CFO (Sr. Director – Head of Finance Business Unit).

The CFO will be responsible for the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company, ensuring financial alignment with the majority shareholder. This role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the company's financial health, and supporting the CEO and Management Board in strategic decision-making. The CFO will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and maintaining cost control while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

Provide vital oversight and analysis of company financial performance.Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning with a focus on prudent expense management.Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.Manage the accounting, tax, and finance functions within the business, including monthly management reporting, annual financial statutory statements, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting.Oversee the budget and forecast process; research and communicate variance explanations between forecast and actuals, as well as between current and previous versions of the forecast.Collaborate with business owners on revenue models and analysis to support long-term planning and strategy.Manage relationships with external auditors and other financial stakeholders to facilitate a successful annual statutory audit and SOX compliance framework.Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and senior group management.Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.Manage the company's tax planning and compliance.Oversee cash planning and management, including regulatory capital monitoring and forecasting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or MBA equivalent preferred.Minimum 12 years of experience in financial analysis, consulting, or accounting; publicly traded company experience preferred; IFRS and US GAAP experience preferred.Must possess strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills.Proven leader and process owner with a desire to continually learn and improve.Must be able to communicate with all levels of management, Board, and staff and be a strong team player.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.Collaboration skills across the global finance function, support departments, and business lines.
