$141,000 - $206,800The Sr. Director for Dry Products External Manufacturing is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the production operations of contract manufacturers (CMs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) under the oversight of the Dry Products Network (DPN).
The role is responsible for integrating all functional requirements to ensure quality, safety, and customer requirements are met through external partners. The leader works cross-functionally to strategically plan, operationally execute, and drive improvement in alignment with manufacturing expectations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Oversight of all Dry Products Network CMs including the establishment and sustainment of all operation.Ensuring staff are qualified and the required initial and continuing training of all operations personnel is carried out and adapted.Relationship development with each CM in order to ensure baseline governance of the contractual obligations and deliver value creation.Cross-functional team execution of expectations defined by Lilly for the hub lead team under their area of responsibility.Establish required Process Teams (Joint Process Teams).Lead required Flow teams.Accountable to communicate status and issues to various management levels in operations, quality, marketing, and manufacturing networks.Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Establish and maintain organization to oversee and deliver strategic and operational objectives for the networkOn-time delivery of commitments to supply plan, quality plan, financial plan, and technical agendaRecruit, develop, and manage succession of JPT leaders and other key operations & functional positionsEnsure the installation of any process at a CM is completed in accordance with current expectations for technical transfer and managementDefine and execute governance processes to ensure operations are running in a manner consistent with regulatory and business drivers.Work with functional management to define Business Plan and Strategic Plan objectives and commitments.Ensure the appropriate people management of and coaching of employees (Performance Management, Talent Assessment, and Succession Planning)Interface with key customers and stakeholders to create value and ensure commitments are understood and met.Ensure operations group is compliant with all GMP, safety, and environmental regulationsEvaluate major changes in product, process or equipment.Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry/Biochemistry or related scientific field
Proven experience in similar roles. Manufacturing experience as a cross-functional leader of operations or technical support functions, preferred.
Relevant foundational front-line experiences in process engineering, quality control, process development or technical services – dry products experience preferred
Strong administrative and leadership skills and financial background.
