Purpose of the Job

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced\nindividual to join our team as Senior Director, Finance for ESS to be based in Shanghai,\nChina. In this role, you will lead Finance activities for a fast growing\nbusiness in China with a topline of >$0.5B. This role will lead regional finance for Business\nPlanning & Analysis (BAP), and the Honeywell UOP and Advanced Materials\nbusiness. It will have a team of direct reports. The role will partner\nwith the ESS Regional VP to drive financial performance, managing and leading\nkey business processes including the annual operating plan (AOP), strategic\nplan (STRAP), monthly operating review (MOR) and financial pulse.

Principal Responsibilities:

Full\n financial ownership for the ESS China business covering Orders, Revenue,\n Gross Margin, Operating Income and Cash (incl Working capital accounts\n where applicable).

Partner\n with controllership to ensure that effective financial controls are in\n place and appropriately followed.

Acting\n as COO, partner with the business and sales leaders to problem solve and\n find solutions to drive financial performance.

Participate in key deals to\n ensure commercial terms are in line with controllership requirements and\n financial implications are clear.

Demonstrate\n a high degree of business acumen, quickly grasp the business model and key\n business drivers to lead growth agenda of the business. Develop strong\n relationship with the business and commercial leaders in the region to\n quickly become a trusted business partner.

Own\n financial forecasting for the segment including weekly pulse meetings to\n discuss latest forecast, risks with mitigation plans and opportunities\n with action plans to deliver financial results. Day to day management of\n financials to ensure Quarterly targets are achieved. Create clarity,\n linkage and tracking of orders required to deliver revenue plan across the\n business.

Present\n weekly pulse, monthly operating and annual plan reviews to ESS global\n leadership and High growth regions. Develop the “story” and\n market/operational drivers behind financials. Convey the message in a\n succinct and effective manner.

Single\n point of contact to handle ESS escalations for the region. Liaise with\n global teams as necessary to ensure coordination and alignment.

Effective\n management of cash including customer past dues and working capital\n account management where applicable.

Lead\n the AOP planning process for the region and monthly financial reviews.\n Performs ad-hoc analysis to determine business trends and provide decision\n support with financial information.

Work\n closely with the regional and global supply chain leadership to drive\n regional revenue, ensuring robust process and KPI’s including past due\n tracking.

Part\n of leadership team in the region to develop ideas, and present business\n cases to enable incremental growth plans for the region. Handle entity\n related issues in the region including audit escalations.

Manage\n and develop a team of direct reports.
