Position SummaryThe San Francisco, CA Sr Director, Site Leader plays a vital role in the Cell Therapy Services business (CTx), directing production operations at our plant.
The successful candidate will oversee the financial performance of the Cell Therapy production site, collaborating with Research & Development, Commercial Operations and Finance to meet targets. This role carries significant visibility, and you will play a key role in delivering innovative medicines. This individual will strategically deploy internal capabilities to deliver technical and business results using a combination of awareness of external market forces and a deep understanding of our customer’s needs. S\\he will inspire change across the network, identifying process improvement opportunities and delivering solutions to such challenges.
Reporting to the Senior Director and General Manager of Advanced Therapies, this leader is crucial in expanding PSG's business and meeting global demand for cell therapy services. They will use internal capabilities and market knowledge to achieve results for customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead operational execution of cell therapy manufacturing, set organizational standards, and partner with functional teams to establish customer contract requirements and related specifications.Develop the site leadership team to drive focus on workforce planning, training and development, process validation, cGMP documentation, and production.Ensure the site has the vital capabilities to support business management forecasts and planning.Provide entrepreneurial leadership to support successful company and culture assimilation to the Company’s Mission and 4i Values.Find opportunities and drive actions that exceed the agreed plan, accelerate growth, improve margins, and reduce working capital needs.Work effectively with operational, business, and site leaders to develop and deploy a shared vision and approach.Leverage complementary strengths and develop hard-working teams; ensure scalable talent in key positions.Develop, drive, and champion the acquisition of new business by expanding services to current clients and introducing new clients into the network.Implement strategies to deliver on both long-term and short-term goals for the business.Proactively identify problems and provide solutions.Ensure full alignment with both customers and regulatory authorities to deliver flawless compliance.QualificationsBlend of strategic and operational expertise and a track record of leadership experience in diverse, evolving environments.Strong understanding of cell and gene-based processes at scale, cGMP compliance, and biologics manufacturing.Ability and desire to be an impactful leader who proactively identifies problems and provides solutions.Knowledge of the Cell Therapy manufacturing market to drive revenue and margin at the business unit level.Proven leadership skills with a record of building strong teams.Extensive experience leading a dynamic and complex manufacturing business in a highly regulated environment.Success in hiring talent, forming teams, obtaining results, and achieving business financial results.Entrepreneurial mentality aligned with the aspirations of the company.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $231,200.00–$346,775.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
