Overview of the Role
The Senior Director of E-commerce for DWR is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive digital strategies to drive near and long-term sales growth. This pivotal leadership role oversees all aspects of the e-commerce business, from strategic planning to daily operations, while fostering innovation and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of scaling e-commerce businesses, delivering exceptional digital customer experiences, and driving performance through data-driven decisioning.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive near and long-term e-commerce strategies to increase revenue and profitabilityMonitor and analyze e-commerce performance metrics to identify areas for improvementProvide regular reporting and insights on key performance indicators to senior leadership, informing strategic business decisions.Define and manage the digital user experience to improve engagement rates including the development and maintenance of a site merchandising plansOptimize the customer journey for both new and returning customers, focusing on opportunities for personalization and improving customer lifetime value and retention.Be highly collaborative, developing opportunities with Merchandising, Planning, Digital Product, Marketing, Store, and Customer Service team members.Coordinate with x-functional teams to create and optimize revenue-driving promotions and offeringsManages allocated budgets and provides strategic input on financial planning for e-commerce initiativesIdentify new areas of e-commerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking that solve for customer needs in the digital spaceManage relationships with key vendors and technology partnersLead a cross-functional e-commerce team of specialists in site management, merchandising, production, and digital operationsProvide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to foster team growth and expertiseContinuously evaluate and improve organizational processes to enhance productivity and effectivenessQualifications
