Location: Chattanooga, TN

Job Overview: A global manufacturing company is seeking a Sr. Director of Global ERP and Manufacturing Systems to lead our global ERP strategy and delivery. Along with the ERP strategy you are expected to lead analysis, architecture and delivery of all supporting satellite manufacturing supply chain, engineering and inventory management systems. This may include innovating alongside business leaders to advance manufacturing capabilities around Industrial IoT (IIoT) and AI, that leads to greater operational efficiencies.  This role involves managing, building and developing teams of Analysts and Developers. You will build relationships with and support our VP of Operations, VP of Engineering, and VP of Supply Chain and Procurement, developing a 1-3-5-year roadmap, realizing standardized ERP processes, optimized system usage, and spearheading initiatives across multiple foundries, manufacturing, and distribution sites. The role requires extensive experience with Oracle JDE Enterprise One, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and engineering applications for Product Lifecycle Management and Product Data Management.

Core Responsibilities:

ERP Experience: Lead and manage the global ERP strategy within JDE Enterprise One. Implement ERP systems for new acquisitions, both in the US and globally.ERP Utilization: Direct the team on how to standardize, mature, and optimize the functionality of all the modules within Enterprise One and satellite systems, including inventory and warehousing and EDI. Ensure that the data from E1 is analyzed to identify patterns, trends, and areas of improvement, such as product, customer and supplier data.Process Optimization: Optimize processes from quote to cash, procure to pay, plan to manufacture, and manage business (finance) and logistics.Manufacturing Systems: Support sites by integrating Equipment Efficiency tools and hyper-automation tools to promote the evolution of manufacturing sites. Support strategies for system, integration and cost optimization, while considering Cloud, Local On-Prem and Data Lake needsGlobal Organization: Manage large domestic and global budgets, manage external partnerships, such as managed service providers, and assist with the implementation of ERP systems for new acquisitions globally.Effective Leadership: Act as the liaison between IT and Business teams to deliver program activities. Determine the applications and enterprise architecture and strategy. Deliver Reporting, System Analysis, and Applications Development by providing vision, problem anticipation, and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive lean strategy aligned with the company's overall goals, utilizing ERP data to identify areas for improvement. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives and track progress within the ERP system.Process Optimization: Analyze business processes across departments using ERP data to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for continuous improvement through lean methodologies. Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing process improvements, leveraging the ERP system to streamline workflows and data flow.ERP System Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the ERP system, ensuring it aligns with lean principles and supports operational efficiency. Configure and customize the ERP system to meet specific business needs and facilitate data-driven decision-making.Change Management: Develop and execute change management plans to effectively implement new ERP functionalities and lean practices across the organization. Train employees on new processes and system features to ensure user adoption and optimize system utilization.Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract and analyze data from the ERP system to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate reports and dashboards to provide key insights to leadership and stakeholders on operational performance and lean initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field12.Master’s degree preferred.Extensive experience with Oracle JDE Enterprise One.Experience overseeing or being part of an E1 implementation in a manufacturing environment.Experience in standardizing ERP processes and optimizing system usage.Experience in leading and managing teams of developers and business analysts.Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Deep understanding of Lean principles, including value stream mapping, Kanban, and continuous improvement techniques.Proven proficiency in managing and utilizing JDE Enterprise OneAbility to analyze large datasets from the ERP system to identify trends and inform decision-makingExcellent communication and leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive change across the organization.Proven experience in managing complex projects related to ERP implementation and process improvement initiatives.
