OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for maintaining the hardware and software of the property’s computing and communication environment. Will work with the Director of IT to evaluate equipment, search for alternatives and recommend improvements.

Maintain harmonious and professional relationship with all departments and Home Office. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate to all levels of management. Must be able to assist hotel guests with technical requirements and issues. Experience in Project Management, hospitality applications, Oracle PMS, F&B POS, Music system, is preferred. Must be able to provide high levels of service and support to admin users Ensure critical systems for hotel operations are available twenty-four (24) hours per day. Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems. Establish and maintain system security procedures consistent with control requirements, cyber security and corporate policy. Maintain accurate records of system files; software and hardware issues and service requirements. Responsible for network support & security of Hotel network, Active Directory maintenance, Server Infrastructure maintenance, Network Infrastructure maintenance – wired & wireless, Network protection & failover tools implementation (Firewall, web security, multi-homing devices, etc). Administer Microsoft applications, connection to global VPN and other communication tools Establish and maintain, test and monitor backup plan for all systems to ensure protection from loss of data and ensure backups are carried out in accordance with corporate and local policies. Maintain and promote Rosewood core technology standards as outlined in the Rosewood IT Core Standards notes database. As required, participate in and lead the co-ordination of new systems acquisitions, corporate initiated major projects and technology implementations. Good knowledge and support for Desktop OS and applications. Provide direct guest support and quality support to function rooms and conference services. Assist the Director of Finance in administering all IT related maintenance and services contracts and take a leadership role in establishing scope of the maintenance and services contracts, contract negotiations and bidding process. Be a business manager. Recommend new applications as requested by hotels to streamline business processes and improve workflow. Negotiate and execute computer and data communications contracts to ensure compliance with their requirements. Implement technology “best practices” from other Rosewood properties that are workable. Establish product lifecycle management for hardware/software and 10-year capital planning for technology. · Prepare IT operating budgets, IT capital budgets, and able to discuss and present a business case for all IT expenses.
Education and Experience

· Technical Skills: Administrative level knowledge regarding of all Microsoft Windows server environments. Administrative level knowledge regarding of all standard domain controller roles, rolls and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, WINS, file and print sharing. Administrative level knowledge of all standard networking protocols such as TCP/IP, NETBUI. Power user level knowledge of the following Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Access. Knowledge of the management of communication systems such as Treo devices, smartphone devices and instant messaging technology. Knowledge of the proper implementation of network security systems such as hardware and software firewalls, antivirus software, antispyware software, Windows Update Server and e-mail SPAM filtering technology. Knowledge of all Active Directory functionality. Knowledge of the maintenance of SQL Server databases. Experience with the effective use of remote management software such as PCAnywhere, Funk Proxy, GoverLan, Terminal Services, Remote Desktop, etc. Experience with the use of Data Backup and Recovery software and tools such as ArcServe or Veritas and tape drive autoloaders, NAS devices, etc. Experience with the use of Lotus Notes and Domino. Knowledge of cabling specifications and computer hardware repair.
· Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
· Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 35 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
· Licenses & Certifications: None required. Technical certifications preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. This position is eligible for bonus.
Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel luxury experience, location, and education.
