General Summary:
The Sr Director, Sales will be responsible for managing and growing revenue with a large strategic account. This person will work closely with colleagues around the world and be responsible for creating the strategy and execution for driving Qualcomm’s PC products and business in APAC.
Responsibilities
The Sr Director, Sales will be responsible for managing and growing PC OEM (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, etc) consumption revenue across the APAC region The Sr Director, Sales will be responsible to manage and influence OEM regional teams on Qualcomm strategies and closely align with host OEM account teamThe Sr Director, Sales will be responsible for aligning and executing PC consumption programs with OEM’s across APAC regionThe Sr Director, Sales should lead APAC PC task force by working closely with regional PC champions and OEM/GTM teamsThe Sr Director, Sales will need to lead team of direct and matrix reports
Skills/Experience
The Sr Director, Sales will have had extensive experience in developing relationships at large, complex organizations globally. She or he will have managed to sales targets and goals. Experience in selling components to PC OEM customers and the understanding of the complexity of the compute and cellular industry are required. The understanding of technically complex products and experience on how to position these to a broad audience are critical.
12+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of ODMs, OEMs and certificationStrategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customersExperience in design win and region sell-through partnerships with PC OEMsDeep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win-win situations for Qualcomm and our customersExpert technical understanding and hands-on experience in mobile and PC technology including being first line of defense for technical and product issuesProficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, Chromebooks, and tabletsExperience in negotiating and managing MDF, NRE and component pricing with large consumer electronic OEMsAbility to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externallyGood communication and interpersonal skillsCreative problem solving with strong analytical skills
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business or technology preferred20+ years in product marketing, sales, or product management in the PC industry5+ years in a leadership roleIn addition to experience, the successful candidate will have demonstrated competencies in the following areas:
