Position Summary: 

The Sr. Director, Total Rewards and Workforce Solutions is a strategic and operational leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s compensation, benefits, HRIS, and payroll programs. This role ensures that all total rewards and workforce strategies align with Service Experts’ business goals, while maintaining compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in payroll operations, labor law, compliance, and HR systems, with the ability to drive innovative solutions for a diverse workforce, including sales, blue-collar, and corporate employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Total Rewards Strategy and Leadership

Develop and oversee the company’s total rewards programs, including compensation structures, employee benefits, and recognition initiatives, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with business goals.Design and implement sales incentive plans and other variable compensation programs to drive performance and retain top talent.Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to ensure total rewards strategies are equitable, compliant, and competitive.

Compensation and Benefits Management

Lead the development and maintenance of compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, and bonus plans.Manage employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and voluntary benefits, optimizing cost-efficiency and employee satisfaction.Collaborate with leadership to align total rewards strategies with budget planning and workforce priorities.

Payroll and HRIS Oversight

Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes.Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of HRIS and payroll systems to enhance data integrity, reporting capabilities, and user experience.Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for a multi-state, geographically dispersed workforce.

Compliance and Risk Management

Maintain in-depth knowledge of labor laws, payroll regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring all policies and practices adhere to local, state, and federal laws.Conduct regular audits of payroll, compensation, and benefits programs to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.Act as the primary point of contact for compliance issues related to payroll, benefits, and labor regulations.

Workforce Solutions and Planning

Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to address talent needs, skills gaps, and organizational growth.Provide leadership in analyzing workforce data to inform hiring, retention, and development strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align workforce planning initiatives with organizational priorities.

Leadership and Collaboration

Manage and develop a high-performing team of professionals across compensation, benefits, payroll, and HRIS functions.Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance on total rewards, workforce planning, and compliance issues.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the HR function.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Payroll and Compliance Expertise: In-depth understanding of payroll operations, tax compliance, and labor law requirements.Strategic Leadership: Ability to design and execute total rewards strategies that align with business goals.HRIS Acumen: Proficiency in implementing and managing HR systems and ensuring data integrity.Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess compensation trends, benefits costs, and workforce data.Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines.Exceptional organization and planning skills.  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CCP, SHRM-SCP, CPP) highly preferred.12+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant leadership responsibility in total rewards, payroll, benefits, and HRIS management.Proven experience managing payroll operations and HR compliance in a multi-state or multi-location environment.Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ACA, and state-specific regulations.
