Sr. Director Security Identity (Hybrid in Irvine, CA)

Job Description
An enterprise level client is looking for a Sr. Director of Identity Security (SOC) to join their Information Security Organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to create a secure and modern organization, positioning IAM as a business enabler. This high-visibility leadership role requires strategic engagement with technology, risk, and business leaders, and involves significant influence and partnership across the enterprise. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Privileged access management and vaulting
- Cloud IAM design and management
- Ensure IdM systems and technologies enforce the security and compliant standards of the university and align with industry best practices.
- Align IAM security priorities with the organizations security strategy informed by current understanding of what IAM leaders are doing across the insurance and financial industries
- Implement identity governance capabilities, such as role-based access control (RBAC), entitlement management, and identity analytics, to manage risks, enforce least privilege principles, and improve compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of identity and access management best practices, including Zero Trust Architecture, Consumer-IAM, and non-human identity management

Skills and Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience delivering and overseeing technical solutions and programs within IAM, including 2+ years in strategy development.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing personnel.
- Extensive experience in software engineering delivery within forward-leaning technology organizations.
- Proficient with enterprise IAM tools in large organizations.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers and operating technology at scale.
- Deep understanding of technology considerations and effective communication with business leaders.
- Proven ability to drive and disrupt business through technology innovation.
- Skilled at continuously assessing new technologies and making effective decisions. null
