Within Amazon, The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.
We are seeking an experienced senior editor and storyteller to drive GREF’s content and channel strategy for our diverse, global employee population. This individual will be well-versed in all facets of short- and long-form content development in a range of mediums (written, video) and for varying platforms (intranet, social, newsletter). They will have the ability to work at both the strategic and tactical level, bringing a creative lens while focusing on human-centered storytelling to help us inform, engage and inspire GREF employees.
This role is be part of the GREF Global Communications team and will coordinate with our internal employee comms managers to ensure the content and channel strategy support GREF’s internal employee engagement goals. The role will also teach and mentor other GREF communications colleagues to help raise the bar on GREF storytelling. We are a group of builders, creators, innovators, and go getters. Key job responsibilities
• Develop and implement the internal content and channel strategy to engage, inform and inspire GREF employees around the world.
• Partner with GREF employee comms manager to ensure content and channel strategy support broader employee comms goals, business priorities, and editorial storytelling.
• Manage all GREF internal communications platforms including intranet site, editorial site, Slack channels, newsletters, etc.
• Lead and/or provide strategic direction for a variety of content, whether it be long-form, editorial storytelling, video assets for All Teams, graphics for newsletters or Slack posts, infographics for intranet site, etc.
• Act as a content thought partner to GREF comms teams and other cross-functional stakeholders within GREF, providing counsel and guidance throughout all stages of content planning, execution, and analysis for both GREF and Amazon employees.
• Set content and channel engagement goals and KPIs, and implement cohesive measurement plans to understand program success. Make real-time program adjustments based on results.
• Experiment with story types, formats, and topics, develop best practices, and create playbooks and toolkits to raise the bar on human-centered storytelling across GREF.
• Become an expert at the Amazon writing style and able to ensure all GREF content meets both the Amazon writing guidelines and encompasses the GREF brand, tone, and voice.
