Who We’re Looking For
Toyota's Environmental and Facilities Department seeks a passionate and highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer.
This role's primary responsibility is supporting the Environmental & Facilities Operations function at the TMMK site (Georgetown, Kentucky). The Facility is a 10,000,000 square foot automotive assembly and powertrain machining/assembly plant. This position will be responsible for the plant power system including utility supply, power distribution in the plant, including switchgear, transformers, bus duct, generators, etc.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations—Facilities Engineering, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective of ensuring plant infrastructure and utility systems readiness to achieve plant production safely, efficiently, and minimize disruptions to production.
What You’ll Be Doing
Oversee correct operation of Toyota Kentucky’s 100 MW power distribution system, including:
Develop schedule, plan and implementation for planned power outages and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and power restoration
Maintenance plans for on-site emergency generators and power battery backup systems
Maintain inventory and of the site electrical distribution equipment such as bus duct, transformers, switchgear, test equipment, etc.
Create and maintain capital and operations budgets and cost tracking for assigned systems
Update maintenance management systems for internal and contracted maintenance activity
Support weekend and holiday maintenance planning
Develop, monitor, and report shop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), including energy supply consistency, maintenance costs, etc.
Track and identify spikes in daily operations, problem-solve those issues, and develop countermeasures by assigning maintenance repairs or contract support
Support skilled maintenance Team Member's in daily troubleshooting
Support the training and development needs of skilled maintenance Team Members
Develop and maintain site-wide arc flash standards
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all electrical power systems
Support the department's engineering systems, including major breakdown investigations, Energy Kaizens, and KPI tracking
Provide customer satisfaction with proper communication and consensus with customer to support their needs
Prepare and report out detailed project status reports
Participate, conduct and lead engineering studies
Track, analyze and report out non-production energy usage
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
Plant utility systems experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience with industrial power systems (switchgear, power distribution systems, 480VAC and higher)
Experience developing and administering a maintenance plan for low (480v) and medium (15kv) voltage switchgear
Experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment in facilities operations
Experience managing project budgets, writing approval documents and holding gate check reviews
Experience with controls such as PLC, networking systems, Building Management Systems and/or Variable Frequency Drives.
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. (Intermediate level skills)

Project Management Experience
Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP)
Professional Engineer license
Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical prints
Toyota experience
Master Electrical License or Electrical Journeyman License
Familiarity with Power Monitoring Expert (Schneider power system monitoring) software
Understanding of electrical code requirements
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Experience working with skilled trades personnel
Experience with VT Scada Systems and Building Monitoring Systems
