Projects executed out of Niagara are primarily in the energy sector and consist of large EPCM and small operations support projects. We work in a multi-discipline engineering environment where every individual is empowered with the opportunity to make a difference. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Leads a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel in the successful execution of electrical engineering and design within budget and on schedule + Provides technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team + Mentor engineers-in-training and designers + Prepare and check calculations as required + Prepare electrical equipment specification packages + Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications + Prepares detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications + Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals + Ensures effective communication within project teams and with client engineers + Track project metrics + Report to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issues + Visit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project related activities as required QUALIFICATIONS: + Engineer with 8 plus years of relevant experience – preferably in an EPCM environment for industrial projects in utilities/power + Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Professional Engineering Association + Good oral and written communication skills + Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards + Proficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPEN + Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teams + Advanced computer skills Why join us? + Work withgreat people (https://bit.ly/36124ja) to make a difference + Collaborate on excitingprojects (http://bit.ly/HatchProjects) to develop innovative solutions + Top employer (https://bit.ly/3p39hIa) What we offer you? + Flexible work environment + Long term career development + Think globally, work locally Don't meet every single requirement?
