We are searching for an Electrical Expertise Manager for our Houston, TX Energy Tower facility. As the Manager of our Electrical Expertise group within the Technical Expertise organization, you will play a vital role in leading a team of exceptionally talented Electrical Lead Engineers and experts. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful implementation of capital projects and providing operational support to BASF sites across North America. Additionally, you will contribute significantly to our organization's success by enhancing the capability, reliability, and sustainability of their assets.
Providing comprehensive support to all disciplines involved in the execution of small and large capital projects, diligently ensuring seamless coordination and fostering effective collaboration across departments.Leading Corporate Engineering Electrical Expertise team in preparing Front End loading design packages, Detailed Design Services, Construction support, Turnaround support, Maintenance support, Electrical Safety support, and troubleshooting support.Overseeing and guiding the development and optimization of corporate Electrical Engineering procedures, work processes, best practices, and tools, while also influencing and motivating stakeholders to adopt and sustain appropriate Electrical processes.Providing exceptional leadership and guidance in various contracting environments, demonstrating a deep understanding of the division of work and responsibilities that come with each specific context.Supporting other managers within the Technical Expertise group, as well as collaborating and leading with the Global Technical Expertise Community (GTEC) and Procurement Verbund Team (PVT) for Electrical.Embracing BASF CORE values and department focus areas to develop the staff, building a high-performance team through performance feedback, career development advice, and competency development through training.Actively participating in industry organizations and standards committees such as NFPA, NEC, PIP, and ISA.If you...
• Have a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering, along with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Possess demonstrated expertise in the Chemical Industry, specifically in the execution, maintenance, and/or support of Capital Projects, with a focus on the Electrical discipline areas.
• Have cross-disciplinary knowledge encompassing electrical, instrumentation, process control, civil, mechanical, procurement, construction, and TAR.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of electrical expertise, including equipment and infrastructure, within the industry (preferably chemical industry).
• Have proven experience in supervision and leadership, including working with international teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Possess exceptional interpersonal, communication, and networking skills, with the ability to lead business development activities.
