Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a Sr. Electrical Inspector, for a 1 year contract assignment supporting the UPF project in Oak Ridge, TN.  This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.

Our client is targeting $80.00 to $85.00//hour for this role.

Project Overview:
This position will provide support to the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) located at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN.  UPF is a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar project and will be a first-of-its-kind complex for enriched uranium operations.  The UPF project works on a 4/10 schedule.  Start times are flexible but the standard work week is Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Job Summary:
Assigned to the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) Construction organization in a Construction Electrical Field Engineering/Electrical Code Inspector position. Responsibilities are to ensure assigned UPF Electrical based commodities comply with NFPA 70-2014. The Electrical Inspector will require a working knowledge of construction engineering practices. #LI-CL1

In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
Note: This is for Sr. Electrical Inspector  (UPF, Certified Electrical Code Inspector (NEC) CANDIDATES MUST HAVE SPECIFIC LICENSE FOR THIS ROLE, MUST LICENSE: ICC E2 or IAEI General Code Inspector current certification.

Major Responsibilities:
Work Planning & Packaging Prepares construction drawings and sketches. Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans. Material Management Initiates requisitions for field purchases. Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. Quantities Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required Safety and Quality Control:

Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.

Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.

STR / Subcontract Coordinator
Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidate shall have a current certification as a National Electric Code Inspector and a working knowledge of current design codes and standards, such as NFPA 70-2014. Certification must be ICC “Commercial or IAEI “General” and provide a copy of the certification. Knowledge and experience of DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects is required. Knowledge of "Zero Accidents” safety program. Familiarity with nuclear quality and commercial practice standards is beneficial. Recent commercial nuclear experience at an EPC Project. Recent experience as an Electrical Field Engineer. Experience in reviewing field drawings/plans of different disciplines and may include P&ID’s.
