Role Summary The Infotainment team is building an immersive in-vehicle digital experience through which our consumers not only interact with their vehicles but also connect with the outside world to enjoy hands-free entertainment and communications. Come help build the Rivian In-Vehicle user experience, encompassing vehicle controls, navigation, media, charging, among many other live customer facing features. In the Vehicle Software team, you are primarily responsible for the design, implementation, testing and shipping of high-quality software for multiple programs. Responsibilities Own and develop core software components and services that power our infotainment system, from requirement analysis, to design, implementation, quality assurance, deployment, and continued improvement. Innovate and experiment with new designs and processes to make our software more robust, secure, and scalable. Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to explore and define our next-generation infotainment experience. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical fields 5+ years of experience in developing system-level software on mobile or embedded systems; Linux or Android-based systems preferred Proficient in C and/or C++ programming and familiar with Python and/or POSIX shell scripting; experience with Rust programming is a plus Familiar with modern SoC architectures, operating system fundamentals, hardware/software interfaces and abstractions, and virtualization technologies Self-motivated learner and problem solver with experience in managing trade-offs when defining solutions Good communication and collaborative skills Company Statements Equal Opportunity Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
