The Employee Relations Investigator will play a pivotal role in managing and resolving complex employee relations issues within Trane Technologies. This seasoned professional will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, assessing and mitigating risks, and providing expert guidance to HR business partners and management. With a minimum of 8 years of proven experience conducting employee relations investigations and risk management, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of employment laws and HR best practices. This role requires a self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. The Employee Relations Investigator will also partner closely with internal stakeholders, such as Legal and Ethics & Compliance, to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risk, and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
Independently design and develop investigation plans.Conduct complex fact-finding investigations into a variety of employment issues and write clear, professional, well-reasoned, and comprehensive investigation reports.Effectively manage investigative caseload and meet deadlines, communicating timelines with appropriate parties and sharing updates on the process.Track investigations with regular reporting to senior management, identifying trends and alerting management as necessary.Partner with internal stakeholders to reduce and mitigate employment liability claims and achieve informal resolution wherever possible.Serve as a recognized functional expert who regularly leads employee relations projects critical to the organization.Utilize comprehensive and in-depth employee relations expertise to assess credibility and provide guidance and recommendations for the organization.May develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and best practices related to employee relations.Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations, findings, and resolutions.Lead continuous improvement of processes and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in handling employee relations issues.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.8+ years conducting workplace investigations through the full concern lifecycle from intake to resolutionFamiliarity with Title VII, ADEA, ADA, and related U.S. employment laws.Proven ability to deliver high-quality results while handling multiple priorities.Demonstrated leadership behaviors and integrity combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and oral/written communication skills.Able to travel domestically, if needed.Required Competencies for Success:

Base Pay Range: $80,000 - $120,000.
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
