**This position will move to hybrid (3 days in office in Dallas, TX) in near future**

 

The Sr. DevOps Engineer works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will have a background in development, operations, and full-stack implementations. They will be providing continuous delivery solutions in a cloud environment and have experience with the core suite of tools used to manage different cloud providers.

 

You will establish and employ Continuous Integration practices and tools such as Jenkins or other CI tools. They will have experience in the use of configuration management automation tools such as Chef or Ansible (or other such tools) in creating continuous delivery systems. They employ industry Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions.

 

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for mentoring and teaching existing team members. As such, the ideal candidate must have experience clearly explaining solutions to complex problems and demonstrate the ability to lead and impart knowledge effectively to junior resources.

Responsibilities Be a key technical contributor to Agile Pods that increase the availability, efficiency, and performance of Foot Locker’s e-commerce platform.Advocate infrastructure standards, frameworks and tools that enhance operational efficiency and team productivity.Work closely with other members of Platform Engineering and the Application Teams, helping to increase productivity, collaboration, and skill levels.Work closely with Dev teams to troubleshoot environmental issues and failed software deployments across an expanding microservices platform.Provide Application teams with standards and best practices on how to deploy and consume public cloud services.You’ll understand the nuances of different cloud solutions and implications for solution design and provide recommendations. Qualifications Technology bachelor’s or master’s degree strongly desired.Minimum 5 years DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Consulting, or related experience in lieu of degree.Experience managing large scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployments.Proven experience working in Kubernetes environment.Hands-on experience implementing, operating, and maintaining infrastructure for high volume enterprise web applications.Strong Experience with managing infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform, Chef, Ansible and Git.Implementation and operations experience with production systems in public cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (nice to have).Release Engineering experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.Experience troubleshooting / tuning Java applications (jvm and tomcat) preferred.

 

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90,000-$125,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
