About the Role:

CrowdStrike is hiring for a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to help take our global metrics and observability platform to the next level.

What You'll Do:

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on Engineer with experience using several open source projects commonly found in large scale deployments.  The right candidate will have in depth experience with Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana.  Additionally, the candidate will have experience and opinions on how to ensure reliability of platforms that are capable of scraping over 7 TRILLION metric data points per day while running in Kubernetes using these technologies.

What You'll Need:

Prometheus

Thanos

Alertmanager

Python, Bash OR Golang

Experience with large scale, business-critical Linux environments

Experience operating in clouds, preferably Amazon Web Services OR Google Cloud

Experience operating in custom data centers

Familiarity and ability to manage on call shifts

Bonus Points:

Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams

Rock solid communication skills, verbal and written

A combination of confidence and independence…with the prudence to know when to ask for help from the rest of the team.

Wider experience with observability tooling including tools like, mimir or cortex

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, such a CS, CIS or Engineering

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $135,000 - $210,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
