The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

The Senior Engineer, Tool and Die, will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of tools and dies used in the steel fabrication process. This role requires expertise in tool and die making, maintenance of manufacturing equipment, and continuous improvement of processes to ensure high-quality production and minimal downtime.

Your responsibilities will include Design, develop, and maintain tools and dies used in the steel fabrication process.Troubleshoot and repair complex tooling issues to minimize production downtime.Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment.Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.Implement WCM / lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows.Lead and manage tooling projects from concept to completion.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of tooling components.Ensure all tools and dies meet quality standards and specifications.Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify tool and die performance.Mentor and train technicians in tool and die maintenance and manufacturing processes.Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
 Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tool and die design, development, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
 Preferred skills and experiences Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment in a steel fabrication plant.Proficiency in CAD software for tool and die design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and manufacturing methods.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong project management and organizational abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
