Working on Lingo, you will help build a next-generation technology that enables individuals to make decisions about how to improve energy, lose weight or enhance athletic performance. The Lingo team embodies a start-up culture and mindset with the backing of Abbott, a company with a rich history of healthcare innovation. **The Commerce Platform & Business Apps team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, innovative software engineering manager to lead the team.** The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly compliant environment, understands the eCommerce space, and will help us drive customer engagement and revenue for the product. **What You’ll Work On** + Design and Build intuitive and reliable shopping experience, including browsing product details, check-out, shopping, return, refund etc. + Design and Build platforms and admin apps for customer success, health coaches, and business operations. + Build subscription and recurring order management solutions with integration to payment gateways and 3PL systems + Drive continuous improvements to engineering excellence and efficiency, lead research & development into key areas of optimizations for backend systems and services, including data security, systems architecture, and computational efficiency & scalability + Continuously optimize and finetune the customer acquisition and retainment pipeline through analytics, user experience and search engine optimization. + Develop data insights capabilities for global e-commerce platforms, enabling users to extract actionable insights and intelligence from data to maximize their revenue potential and decision-making efficacy + Collaborate with product, data and cloud engineering teams to continuously release high quality features + Partner with Quality and Regulatory Assurance teams throughout the software lifecycle process, train and guide engineering team to deliver with compliance and audit-ready deliverables + Drive and shape the growth of a highly effective product engineering team, provide professional and technical leadership to support the professional growth of individual team members + Coordinate and design integrations with B2B, third-party and retail systems + Partner with cyber security to release highly secured solutions + Build high performance teams and mentor the team to reach their potential **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields + 10 or more years of relevant industry experience. 3 or more years of experience managing engineering teams to deliver software from concept to delivery + 8+ years of experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least NodeJS/Java/Python or relevant tech stack + Experience with Full Stack development including designing, developing and managing Microservices based backend services and orchestration – REST, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes + Experience with front-end (UI) technologies like Javascript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as ReactJS, Next.JS, or Angular + Strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style + Understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, and highly scalable systems design + In-depth knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks like Postgres SQL/MySQL/Redis/Message Bus etc + Exhibits strong product/business understanding, able to align product engineering directions to support current and future products and business + Experience with Web Content Management Systems (AEM/Contentful) and CRM Systems + Knowledge of industry best-practices in architecture and design, test management tools, cybersecurity and performance. + Sound decision-making and risk analysis skills. + Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Systems Engineering, Business/Marketing and Quality to deliver on project commitments. + Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. + Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to upper management and other stakeholders in different functions at various levels. + Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold self and others accountable. + Ability to work effectively a fast-paced changing environment . **Preferred** + Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience  + ​ 3 or more years of experience in Medical device development and/or other highly regulated industry + Hands on experience with software development in a regulated environment​  **Apply Now (https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en)** * Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
