As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.

About the Role

Our Enterprise Architect team is a customer facing team within Solution Consulting (Presales).  This team is a strategic asset to Global Revenue (Sales) supporting Financial Services organizations across North America as they evaluate and select Workday as their technology partner.   We engage primarily with the offices of CIO, CTO and Business Stakeholders to understand how Workday can accelerate their digital roadmap and transform how they manage their Financial and HCM processes.

Workday Enterprise Architects are experts in our Technology Platform which powers our Core Financial, and HCM applications.  We partner with our clients to help them understand how Workday will enable true business value, address key requirements, and articulate why Workday is uniquely differentiated because of our technology design.  As a member of our diverse and skilled Enterprise Architect team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.

This is your chance to lead strategic conversations and demonstrate the value of next-generation cloud-based Workday solutions to customers and prospective customers.  This position will support Sales across Workday’s Banking, Financial, and Insurance segments in the US Market. You will partner with Workday Sales Executives, Functional Solution Consultant Specialists and Services to solve real-world customer problems.  We focus on how Workday acts as a key enabler of transformation within a customer's environment, allowing IT leaders to support the needs of their business stakeholders.

You will use discussions, presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars as tools to help you produce solutions that combine Workday's applications and platform, as well as third-party technology, to drive improved business outcomes for your customers. Along the way, you will become a trusted advisor to your clients and to your Sales peers.  At Workday, we 're all about helping our colleagues grow, so you'll teach others how to learn from your successes. Your input will be essential to helping our technology evolve over time.

Ability to travel as necessary, possibly up to 50%

About You

Basic Qualifications

5+ years experience in enterprise software Presales experience.

5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise financial, HCM or analytics solutions.

3+ years experience delivering compelling presentations in person, and on-line meetings. 

3+ years experience leading discovery conversations and provide polished world-class demonstrations to C-Suite executives, business leaders and technical evaluators.

3+ years experience with IT landscapes and help develop current-state and future-state illustrations.

3+ years experience working with common cloud architectures, security, reporting, and/or integration standards.

Other Qualifications

Existing knowledge of Workday application and technical architecture is beneficial, but if you have experience on legacy systems or our competitor’s systems, we’ll train you on Workday

Industry experience related to Finance, Banking or Insurance is preferred

Experience developing or supporting Financial or HCM applications, customizations, reports, workflow, BI, integration, analytics or being involved in implementations, upgrades or re-implementations is preferred

Knowledge of leading cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc...), firewalls, basic networking principles, and scripting languages is preferred

Working knowledge of information security frameworks, security standards and guidelines is beneficial

Familiarity with web service integration standards such as WSDL, SOAP, UDDI, JSON and ability to use SFTP and UNIX through a command line interface is helpful.

Experience with the value selling paradigm is a plus

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience

Candidates must be located in the continental United States to qualify for the role and the position has the capability to sit remote

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
