We are looking for a skilled Geologist with expertise in environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and the investigation and evaluation of soil and groundwater contamination. This role will involve a mix of long-term and short-term projects of varying complexity. A strong understanding of the TCEQ Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) Program, Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP), and Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) is essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Prepare proposals and develop project strategies and cost estimates. Oversee both complex long-term and short-term projects. Manage project budgets and monitor performance. Foster relationships with both new and existing clients. Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant regulatory agencies. Coordinate field activities effectively. Write and complete advanced project reports, analyze analytical data, and prepare final reports. Ensure all necessary regulatory reporting is completed. Collaborate with Giles’ offices across the country. Travel occasionally for meetings or project oversight.
WHO YOU ARE:
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geosciences, or Environmental Engineering (required). Registered Professional Geologist (PG) in Texas. Current HAZWOPER Certification and OSHA 40-Hour Health and Safety Waste Site Worker Training, including the annual refresher. TCEQ LPST Corrective Action Project Manager (CAPM) certification. Preferred: Licensure for Asbestos Identification Surveys or the ability to obtain. Preferred: Licensure for Lead-Based Paint Identification Surveys or the ability to obtain.
