Axos Bank's Commercial & Securities Marketing team seeks a Senior Event Specialist to help drive the success of marketing priorities and initiatives through multiple marketing channels with a focus on conferences, tradeshows, sponsorships, and client experiences.The Senior Event Specialist will work with senior leadership and marketing partners to build out program strategies, drive priorities and presence, create a portfolio of strategic events and key sponsorships, and drive the highest brand standards at key industry gatherings. This role would specifically cover third-party industry conferences and tradeshows. This role would also include management of pre-and post-event marketing touchpoints, ensuring our events are multi-touch and multi-channel campaigns.
This highly collaborative role works closely with business stakeholders, marketing partners, and other stakeholders across multiple functions. This role is responsible for ensuring day-to-day event marketing execution with a direct accountability to the Axos Commercial and Securities businesses; marketing materials and campaigns are delivered on time and at expected quality and event performance metrics are tracked with accuracy.
Please note: This is a temporary contractor position with an expected end date on or around 3/31/2025.
Responsibilities:
• Strategic planning for quarterly and annual events portfolios across Axos’ Commercial Bank, Custody and clearing businesses
• Strategic program development for high-touch, multi-dimensional tradeshows and conferences
• Project management, which includes campaign/event/project oversight and fulfilling requests from business partners
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure our marketing efforts align with our overall business strategy
• Oversee the development of event marketing materials, manage event marketing campaigns and projects, and track performance metrics with the support of our marketing shared services team
• Review associated marketing deliverables including content, design, and various other work generated by the enterprise marketing content and design teams to ensure accuracy across brand, messaging, and audience as well as compliance/regulatory requirements are adhered to
• Responsible for executing all logistical and experiential facets of tradeshows and conferences including exhibit management, sponsorship deliverables, marketing and promotional tactics and materials, client entertainment, hosted activations and all elements of on-site execution
• Develop and manage relationships with external partners and vendors
• Analyze market trends and client insights to inform event marketing strategies
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of events and related campaigns through Sales Force event campaigns as well as other tracking mechanisms
• Evaluate processes and propose changes as needed to improve the event marketing quality and speed to market of event marketing deliverables
• Conduct special projects and other business or event marketing support as necessary
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or work equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in events (corporate or tradeshow)
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with business executives
• Ability to schedule and meet deadlines is critical as the position is exceptionally deadline sensitive – a heavy emphasis on advance planning is required
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and complex processes
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Interaction Studio
• Experience with Adobe Workfront
• Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)
