Job Summary
The Sr. Event Planner will facilitate the design and delivery of events that will advance Rensselaer’s fundraising goals by ensuring positive, consistent and meaningful engagement between the Institute and its prospects, donors, friends, alumni, parents, students, and institutional partners. The Sr. Event Planner will work with members of the Division of Institute Advancement and the campus community to collaboratively plan high-quality events and functions in accordance with Institute standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Five (5) or more years of directly related, progressively responsible experience in event planning or fundraising in a not-for-profit setting, or constituent relations experience Valid US driver’s licenseRelevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires demonstrated competence in the administration, planning, and implementation of special events Strong organizational skills Requires communication skills Requires a strong commitment to customer service Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to work effectively with all members of campus community in the scheduling of activities Ability to manage many different social events.Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required
Starting Salary/Rate
Expected hiring range: $60,000 - $64,000

This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
