Sr. Exchange & M365 Engineer (Hybrid - Seattle, WA)
Job Description

As a Sr. Exchange & M365 Engineer on the Collaboration, Automation, and Service Management Engineering team, you will be collaborating with engineers to build and support SaaS and on-premises collaboration platform technologies. You will be responsible for Nordstrom's suite of tools from Microsoft (including Copilot, M365, Exchange, SharePoint, and Power Platform), Slack, and other corporate application suites.

An ideal candidate will have experience using the full suite of Microsoft Admin Centers, an understanding of Microsoft licensing SKUs, as well as experience building automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, and C#. Additionally, you will play a key role in building new solutions and improving/enhancing the capabilities of existing solutions in production.
 

A day in the life...

Architect, design, implement, and operate Office 365 solutions for the organization.Implement Copilot and other automation technologies to improve support operations.Implement and support Office 365 and related technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Exchange Online, Exchange Server, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Synchronization, Okta SSO and O365 licensing.Proficient in creating and maintaining PowerShell scripts or other software development languages.Experience with Azure subscriptions, Azure automation accounts, and Azure admin roles.Experience with service automation and Identity management tool SailPointKnowledge and understanding of load balancers, certificates, and authentication.Operational support with NewRelic and Splunk.Participate in compliance and security reviews.Work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the O365 architecture.Engage in 24x7 on-call rotation.Design and implement solutions that contribute to other existing platforms at Nordstrom as needed.Ability to solve problems and find solutions independently.Ability to successfully debug complex issues found in production between multiple systems or services.Automate business processes with various technologies.Consistently demonstrates creative and useful ways of solving problems.Sees upcoming problem areas and drives to solutions before they become problems.

You own this if you have...

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent working experience5 years’ experience managing Office 365 Services, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online and on-prem, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online administration.5 years’ experience with Office 365 security and compliance features, including DLP and retention policies.5 years’ experience with PowerShell and Graph.5 years’ experience managing Azure Active Directory.Working knowledge of Copilot or Azure OpenAIExperience managing Microsoft Volume Licenses, Enterprise Agreements, and Reservations is a plusWorking knowledge of SMTP, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and DNS is a plusExperience with Copilot and OpenAI Studio is a plusExperience working in a hybrid cloud infrastructure is also a plus

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $120,500-$220,500 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
