**The team you will be a part of**
The Material Management team is responsible for inventory audits and maintaining inventory at optimum levels. Develops procedures to enhance the effectiveness of inventory control programs. Coordinates with relevant departments to schedule, audit, and reconcile periodic physical inventories. Oversees incoming shipments of merchandise to ensure that inventory is accurate, updated and provided according to schedules.
**This role in summary**
**Manages all expediting procurement activities at plant to ensure timely availability of Material with the required quality in the quantity; oversees the local purchase activities.**
**Your responsibilities will include**
+ **Ensure availability of material as per production schedule.**
+ **Manages vendor relations and follows up with vendors where necessary to ensure on time material availability.**
+ **Maintain optimum Inventory level through MRP and streamline material flow.**
+ **Interacts with Production Planning & Control to obtain supply schedule.**
+ **Interacts with Regional Procurement to provide feedback on vendor performance and coordinates with them for all new application developments with vendors.**
+ **Coordinate with Stores and Production to ensure smooth production.**
+ **Ensure compliance to Company policies and values.**
+ **Develops and motivate subordinates**
+ **Implements Company’s HR policies & processes.**
+ **Provides company-related information to improve employees’ line-of-sight towards achievement of Company goals.**
+ **Ensure implementation of Lean - Material handling tools .**
**Minimum requirements**
**Job Title : Sr. Executive/ Sr Engineer - Buyer/ Material Expediting**
**Qualification : Graduate/ Btech with diploma in material management**
**Work Experience : 3 to 6 years of relevant experience as buyer, Procurement systems**
**Reporting to : Head Planning & Supply Chain**
**Preferred skills and experiences**

**EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS**
**B Tech in material management**
**EXPERIENCE/ PREFERRED INDUSTRY**
**-`SAP knowledge**
**3 to 6 years of relevant experience as buyer, Procurement systems,**
**Extensive exposure to WCM LCS**
