Sr. External Engagement Officer **Employment Type:** Full Time **Date Posted:** 3/6/2025 **Location:** New York, NY **Pay Range:** $100000.00 - $105000.00 per Year **Job Number:** JO-2503-2615 **Primary Function** We're looking for a Sr. External Engagement Officer based out of New York to support the execution of and planning process of key client revenue and non-revenue events. **Duties & Responsibilities** + Support the execution of and planning process of key client revenue and non-revenue events + Conduct research on potential speaking engagements for client representatives and submit proposals/pitches to have CEO, Programs and other designated client spokespersons speak at conferences, donor events etc. + Conduct outreach to find speaking engagements that amplify client’s share of voice in Development, Humanitarian and Women’s Rights sectors + Manage development of Creatives and collaterals in support of all assigned events including creation of the run of show, talking points etc. + Assist the Director of Global Communications in the development of client’s annual external events strategy and objectives + Support the Development Team with fundraising events such as salons, annual fundraiser, donor site visits to WfWI programs etc. + Serve as the project lead on all client sponsored events including events for International Women’s Day, Women Deliver conference etc. + Work with appropriate staff to ensure proper follow-up is carried out and all key information is recorded; work with the development team to ensure gift processing for event-related donations is done accurately and timely + Work with the Social media Officer to ensure promotion of events on client’s social media channels + Facilitate the monthly External Engagement Working Group and quarterly Steering Committee for External Engagement to align across departments on the strategy for External Engagement targeting coalitions, networks, events, and conferences that client will participate in + Manage relationships with event vendors + Manage and track expenses against budget and identify and execute cost-saving opportunities + Ensure vendor invoices are accurate and paid on a timely basis + Ambassador and Influencer Engagement + Conducts outreach and management of celebrities and brand ambassadors + Serves as the Relationship Manager for certain Ambassadors as needed + Works with the Social Media Officer to create relevant Ambassador toolkits to amplify WfWI campaigns and for crisis communications + Assist in planning of logistics, briefings, and outings related to donor and ambassador travel to the field + Lead the Women’s Solidarity Network and acquisition of members for the Network. Prepare toolkits, conduct orientation, and prepare relevant application content for client website so that supporters can apply to be part of the Women’s Solidarity Network + Research avenues such as film festivals, conferences, and other opportunities to elevate client’s brand. + Work with print, design and film vendors as necessary + Financial and Administrative Management + Participate in developing budgets for client signature events, sponsored events + Manage the expenses of client events **Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to troubleshoot and be flexible in a fast-moving, multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines + Working knowledge of tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Microsoft Teams and Office apps + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills + Self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively with a team. + Ability to balance and prioritize tasks and stay focused in a fast-paced, demanding environment **Education & Experience** + Undergraduate degree in communications, or related field + Excellent client relations skills + 7 – 9 years of experience in communications + Superior English language writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with focus and experience in synthesizing complex content into essential, compelling messages for a range of mediums including websites, long form content (blogs, Op-eds, etc.) as well as short form such newsletters **To Apply** Use the link at the bottom of this page to apply.
