Responsibilities and TasksMaintenance, Design, and Construction
Provide system designs for safe operations and maintenanceDevelop equipment and component specificationsEnsure designs align with all applicable standards, codes, and regulationsKeep databases up to date with capacity requirements, including Base Build capacities, POU assignments, and actual field conditionsTrack system capacity relative to current supply loads and forecasted loadsPrepare periodic system status presentations (system capacity, actual load, and projected loads based on all approved scenarios, key system accomplishments, and challenges/issues)Support manufacturing scenario planning according to standard processesEvaluate system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenario changesProvide scope for facilities infrastructure additions or modificationsEvaluate Space Planning for future equipment and scenario changesProvide Project SupportCollaborate and communicate with the Global Facility (GFAC) team and manufacturing customersProvide detailed designs and specifications for the installation of new facilities infrastructureImplement designs according to standard processes and Best Known Methods (BKM) for Operations and Maintenance (O&M)Follow Facility and EHS Management of Change procedures (MOC)Provide support for cost, schedule estimates, and justification for scenario changesSupervise and coordinate consultant resourcesAddress Model Base Problem Solving (MBPS) or make necessary correctionsPerform system inspections per applicable code requirements and sign off on inspection reportsMonitor progress and provide engineering and design support during constructionSupport equipment startup and commissioningProvide consultation and support to Operations, Maintenance and ManufacturingAnalyze systems to identify improvements resulting in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savingsConduct risk assessments and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA)Eliminate Single Points of Failure (SPOF) and mitigate riskWork with Manufacturing and GFAC teams on excursion root cause identification, elimination, and preventionAttend design review meetings and participate in table reviews for all First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) material designsAct as site representative to support corporate requests and assignmentsBenchmark with other Micron sites on operational, procedural, engineering, and design Best Known Methods (BKM)Support other sites and projects with personnel, consultation, documentation, etc., as neededReview and participate in the development and maintenance of BKM for O&MMaintain applicable domain knowledge (chemical theory, instrumentation control theory, high purity principles, etc.)Maintain equipment support knowledge (reaction modes/mechanisms, hazard protocol, leak detection, etc.)ExperienceAbove 3 years of experience in Gas/Chemical supply systems, including O&M, expansion, and improvement experienceAbove 5 years of experience in Semiconductor/TFT-LCD relevant equipment engineering, including Gas plants system design and operation experiences, Special gas/chemical manufacturing system operation and design experiencesFAC WorkplaceGood communication with team members, including team members with managersGood opportunity for operation and construction experienceGood culture, people culture, and friendly workplace in FACAbout Micron Technology, Inc.
